Shruthi Hariharan

Shruthi Hariharan

Sruthi Hariharan is a popular actor who debuted in Kannada Film Industry with a revolutionary hit “Lucia”. Her other notable works include Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu, Beautiful Manasugalu, Nathicharami, Taarak, Ambi Ninge Vasaitho, and many more. She won the Best Actress Critics for her performance in Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu and Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress for Beautiful Manasugalu. She won a Special Mention at the National Film Awards for her notable performance in Nathicharami.

She is a trained Bharatanatyam and Contemporary Dancer. She would be sharing her experience about incorporating the subtle nuances of acting, and much more in our Nirguna Acting School.

YASH SHETTY

Yash Shetty is a famous actor from the Kannada film industry. He has acted in many hit moviess like KGF (part 1 & 2), Soojidaara, Yajamaana, Railway children, Once upon a time in Jamaligudda and others. He is a graduate of National school of drama, Delhi. He is also a graduate of Neenasam theatre institute, Karnataka.

He won the best actor ATEC award – Beijing, China and has also won the Times Kannada Icon award for his achievements in theatre and feature films. He will be sharing his experience and also getting into the details of camera acting with the students of Nirguna.

Manjunath

Manjunath L Badiger

Having studied theatre at Neenasam Theater Institute Manjunath Badiger also studied Yakshagana classically at the Udupi Yakshagana Centre. He has staged several plays and conducted workshops across Karnataka and has won state and national level awards for his plays. He is currently directing plays for the Bangalore based Samasthi theatre troupe. He has been doing an amazing job as an acting mentor for children in Zee Kannada’s famous reality show, “Drama Juniors” and has brought laurels to the Zee Kannada show with his brilliant short plays. He has earned a huge fan following and he will be teaching introductory acting exercise lessons to the students at our Nirguna acting school.

Dr Upendra

DR K.R. UPENDRA

Being an actor, director & teacher he is an alumni of NINASAM Theatre Institute, Karnataka. He has done his Ph.D (performing arts) at Kalamandalam Deemed University, Kerala. He has presented papers in various national and international seminars and conferences on acting, script, applied theatre and film acting. He is a visiting faculty for various universities across India. He has conducted workshops for cinema actors in various film institutes. He has also worked as the resource person for the Bengaluru International Film Festival. He is a trained puppeteer (in Karnataka string puppetry). He has also directed a documentary movie about leather puppeteering. He will conduct special classes for our Nirguna students to stimulate the art of communication in actors.

Shivaraj
K R Pete

Shivaraj K R Pete is a famous Kannada comedian who has acted in many films like Yajamana, Madagaja, Robert, Kotigobba 3, Ambi ninge vayassayto, Bhajarangi 2 etc

He is the winner of Zee kannada’s famous comedy show “Comedy KhiladigaLu” season 1.

He will be teaching the seriousness of comedy to the students at Nirguna.

Sardar Sathya

Sardar Sathya is an Indian film actor who works in the Kannada film industry. Over the years he has acted in movies like Aa Dinagalu, Slum Bala, Gundragovi, Raajadhaani and Sharp Shooter.

He is a graduate of the Neenasam Theatre Institute. He has played a prominent role in VetriMaaran’s Tamil film, Viduthalai.

He will be a guest faculty at Nirguna and will interact with the students about the subtle nuances of acting.

Gopalkrishna
Deshpande

Gopal Deshpande is an Indian film actor who works in the Kannada film industry. Over the years he has acted in several TV serials and movies like Garuda Gamana Vrishaba Vaahana, Avane Srimannarayana, 777 Charlie, Love 360 etc.

He is a graduate of Neenasam Theatre Institute. He will be a guest faculty at Nirguna and interact with the students about the fine differences between stage acting to screen acting and the associated transition.

Appanna Ramdurga

Appanna is an active actor in the kannada film industry. He has studied theatre at Ninaasam theatre institute. He is known professionally as a drama artist, anchor and comedian. He has acted several hit films like “Pailwaan”, “Dear Sathya” and “Ramarjuna”. He is also a runner up in the famous Zee kannada comedy show “Comedy KilaadigaLu season 2”

He will be teaching the tricks of comedy timing and punch-line delivery to the students at Nirguna.

Amaresh Nirakula

Amaresh is a Bangalore based Yoga practitioner & teacher with a deep understanding of the performing arts.

He acquired a diploma in theatre and drama from Ninasam Theatre institute and went on to collect a diploma in dance from Attakalari Centre for movement arts, which included intensive training in multiple dance disciplines such as Kalaripayattu, Bharatanatyam, Contemporary and Ballet.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Yogic Sciences from Bangalore University. He then completed his Basic Yoga Vedanta Course from Divine Life Society in Rishikesh. He has also completed RYT200 and RYT300 back in 2012.

Since then he has been imparting training Yoga in the Hatha yoga tradition besides practicing Ashtanga yoga for personal Sadhana.

He freelances as an actor, dancer and martial arts expert and often combines the rich experience he has acquired across disciplines and his great knowledge of different yogic traditions in his unique style of training. He co-founded Nirakula School of Yoga along with his friend in 2018 and has since been actively working as a Yoga teacher.

Amaresh will be conducting unique classes which contain a fusion of contemporary dance, yoga and martial arts which will focus on the actor’s body language.

Ashok Venkataraman

Ashok holds a diploma in Cinematography from Govt. Film and TV institute, Bengaluru in the year 2003. He started his journey by assisting National award-winning cinematographer H M Ramachandra.

His first independent project as a cinematographer was the infamous comedy satire “eddELu manjunatha”. His other notable works include “Nanu avanalla avaLu” (won national award), “December 1” (won Karnataka state award), “Soojidaara” and “Viraatapura Viraagi” (won 3rd place at BIFFES, Asia competition section).

He works in many ad films and documentaries. He was the 2nd unit DOP for Netflix’s international documentary, “Daughters of destiny”.

He is specialized in aerial filming using drones and is currently busy in many Indian language movies. He will be imparting basic lessons on Cinematography to our Nirguna students.

Dhanush Krishna

Dhanush Krishna is an up and coming movie director and budding artist, a student of Sri.Mounesh Badiger and Sri.Prakash Belawadi, he seeks to hone his potential willed and fuelled by his unceasing love for the performing arts.

Dhanush has started his own production house ,born out of passion, with a team of esteemed veteran film makers and an exciting bunch of aspiring filmmakers to bring about a ‘New Wave’ in the Kannada Film Industry
